DRY ICE

Good information. Please take note and it can happen to you.
Remember this especially when you buy lots of ice cream. They normally put dry ice in your ice cream pack if you buy a lot.
A friend bought four packs of ice cream and to prevent it from melting, the seller put the dry ice amongst the ice cream.
My friend put it at the back seat (not the back of the car boot) and he started to drive with the windows closed and the aircon on (as what we all do).
Soon after that, he had difficulty breathing and it was getting worse by minutes. Luckily, he was in a traffic jam and when he almost fainted, beside him was an ambulance.
He dragged himself to the ambulance and got the oxygen treatment. He was getting better on the way to the hospital.
The ambulance officer drove his car to the hospital and he had the same experience. However, before his condition worsen, he opened up the window and he could breathe easily.
Only later, when my friend returned to office and told his colleagues about his story, they pointed out to him that the dry ice was the problem. WHY?

Dry ice is made of CO2 and when it "melts", it becomes CO2 gas straight away without leaving any wet mark (that is why it is called dry ice).
CO2 is easier to be tied up in our blood and thus, when the dry ice sublimes into CO2 gas, it fills the car room with it along with the air con circulation and caused CO2 poisoning.

So, dont put the dry ice inside your car if you are using aircon with fully closed windows. You must leave the windows open for such situation.

Hope this will help to prevent any fatality just from a small negligence like this. Imagine if you have your children inside, they might be the first victim.

Ants - can be harmful

Ants known locally as semut selangor (tetraponera rufonigra), could be found on dry tree trunks and branches in tropical countries, especially South-East Asia.

He said a few ant species were capable of painful stings but not all were known to pose a serious danger to human health.

Parents/Teachers - Disciplinary problems

I am sadden by the news today regarding the disciplinary problems. What has become to our children??? Is it because their lack of parental guidance??? Or is it the thrill they wanted??? Below is an extract of the news to confirm my statement.

Disciplinary problems become a serious concern

Disciplinary problems among students are becoming a serious concern as 3,725 students were arrested for various offences involving 2,218 crime cases throughout the country, Harian Metro reported.

The figure was up from 1,836 cases in 2007 involving 3,383 students aged between 13 and 18 years.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan said that the situation was dire and had to be tackled immediately.

He said studies conducted by the Malay-sian Institute of Research for Youth Development found that students in this age group were involved in various crimes such as murder, rape, robbery and theft.

“Studies conducted by Malaysian Studies on Psychology and Development centre showed that 87% of the ‘mat rempit’ in the country were mostly students aged between 14 and 25 years,” he said in Kuala Lumpur.

Sad

I am pretty sad today as I received a phone call from a friend. His son has left home without any news. In a way I feel happy for him but on the other hand I feel sorry. Hmm, wondering what is happening to me guess I better tell you the whole story (in point form)

He was a rich before but when his son has started taking drug that is when trouble starts. His son started telling lies and stealing. He threaten his mother by saying that he will rape his younger sister and to take his mother's life if she does not give him money.

Doesn't he understand, both his parents are sick, father has cancer and mother has diabete and high blood pressure.

What is going on nowadays? What were we taught during our primary time? Where are all the respects to the parents.

Young boys and girls out there, please be careful of those people you mix around with. You can be lured into taking drugs or doing things which you will regret later.

Please take into mind.

Without harmony where is no peace?
Without a country where do we live?
Without a roof how can we have a home?
Without a home where do we stay?
Without our ancestor where do our parents come from?
Without our parents where do we come from?
Without their guidance, care and love what are we?
Without their earnings how do we get feed?

Parents maybe strict but its all because they LOVE you.

Con people around

There are many cases of children being kidnapped, calling up parents and telling them that their child is kidnapped but the child is in school.

Therefore I do urge all students

1. NOT TO AVOID SCHOOL /CLASSES WHEN YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE IN SCHOOL AND NOT TO PLAY TRUANCY.
2. TO INFORM YOUR PARENTS OF YOUR WHEREABOUT.
3. PLEASE GO HOME IMMEDIATELY AFTER SCHOOL, AVOID STAYING AT SCHOOL BUS STOP.
4. IF YOU HAVE ACTIVITIES IN SCHOOL PLEASE BE SURE YOU ARE WITHIN SCHOOL COMPOUND.
5. IF YOUR PARENTS ARE LATE PLEASE WAIT FOR YOUR PARENTS WITHIN THE SCHOOL COMPOUND.

I like to relate an incident to you all.

A friend of mine received a call and was told that his son was kidnapped and the caller demanded RM10,000 for his release. My friend was calm and he called up the school to check if his son is in school. He was lucky that his son was in school.

Be alert, when you see strangers around.

KUALA LUMPUR: An 18-year-old was robbed and taken on a terror ride before being repeatedly raped by two parang-wielding men yesterday.

The girl, her boyfriend and two motorcyclists were sheltering from the rain in a covered bus stop in Selayang about 3pm when two men drove up in a Proton Wira.

The men robbed all four of cash and mobile phones before dragging the girl into their car. Her boyfriend shouted for help but could not do anything else as one of the men was holding a parang to her neck.

The men took her to a car park in Taman Kok Doh where they raped her.At the car park, the duo rammed into a Perodua Myvi and robbed the woman driving it. They then took the girl and the woman to Jalan Kuching and left them by the side of the road.

Following this, they were also believed to have tried to ram another Myvi in Jalan Ipoh in a bid to rob the female driver. However, the woman was saved by other motorists who came to her aid."They were cornered and could not do much, so they rammed their car into another car, before fleeing," said a source.

City police Criminal Investigation Department Datuk Ku Chin Wah said police have formed a task force to nab the suspects.

Student stabbed in school fight

A Form Three student was stabbed with a kerambit (a small curved knife) by a schoolmate while trying to stop a quarrel on Wednesday.


This caught my eyes. Oh my god, what is happening to our young generation???? What else is NEXT????

I guess the Kementerian Pelajaran has to think of solving this problem.
